After some careless play in the Chile defense, Saul Cloyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Jedrzej Pinczewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Cloyo came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Orlando Casaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Silvers Ilkus's Saul Cloyo. But to his dismay, Saul Cloyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Chile's Orlando Casaus got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jedrzej Pinczewski saved Silvers Ilkus from getting behind. In the 38th match minute, Silvers Ilkus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio-Fernando Cannavaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Pinczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Silvers Ilkus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Alan Tamayo fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Alan Tamayo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jedrzej Pinczewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Nils Meulders kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Dursun Fındık's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Saul Cloyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Cloyo in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Pinczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Silvers Ilkus's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jedrzej Pinczewski came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvers Ilkus made a substitution. Jerzy Tusk replaced Izydor Laba. 74 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jedrzej Pinczewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvers Ilkus were victorious despite being under pressure from Chile for much of the match.
