Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radowit Kornasiewicz in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 15 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wasyl Pietras. Wasyl Pietras yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Axel Tasis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Wasyl Pietras when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Radowit Kornasiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Inter Milano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radowit Kornasiewicz couldn't finish the play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wasyl Pietras having to make a save. 46 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Milano the free kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radowit Kornasiewicz to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Marcin Kosiorek could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. Zbyszek Tarka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Radowit Kornasiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radowit Kornasiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Radowit Kornasiewicz took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Radowit Kornasiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Radowit Kornasiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Milano's supporters rose to their feet, but Radowit Kornasiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Inter Milano getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Radowit Kornasiewicz hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. With an all-out effort, Inter Milano's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zbyszek Tarka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Radowit Kornasiewicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Radowit Kornasiewicz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 95th minute. The Inter Milano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
