Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gică Boerescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After 18 minutes, Axel Tasis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Alex Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Iacob Nistor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Iacob Nistor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 26th minute of the match. Gică Boerescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Gică Boerescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, 김 즙 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 김 즙 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iacob Nistor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Cornel Bodiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Cornel Bodiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 김 즙 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Alex Team players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
