In the last second José Pedro Abraão throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edmundo Espiga in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. José Pedro Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pedro Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 34th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Christiano Trevisan made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ronaldo Lima however managed to control. When Edmundo Espiga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 37 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The José Pedro Abraão was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. José Pedro Abraão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 43rd minute. Kaká Sampaio got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ronaldo Lima. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilian de Almeida during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. José Pedro Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Ronaldo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. José Pedro Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jorge Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorginho Mazza got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee ended the match the Honduras players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
