Qian Ying Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 10th minute of the match. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Qian Ying Lang quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jurand Wielopolski's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurand Wielopolski helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes LIVERPOOL FC got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Wielopolski. 30 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Qian Ying Lang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 37th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 40th match minute, LIVERPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Björkkvist to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin was the one to do the kick off. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Qian Ying Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 56th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Qian Ying Lang. LIVERPOOL FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Qian Ying Lang was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. LIVERPOOL FC's Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LIVERPOOL FC's Liviu Rada was substituted for Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Qian Ying Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Qian Ying Lang. Qian Ying Lang yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Liviu Rada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, LIVERPOOL FC's Qian Ying Lang got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Qian Ying Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to LIVERPOOL FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Marius Slătineanu hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Qian Ying Lang made a huge save. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after LIVERPOOL FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After 90 played minutes LIVERPOOL FC got a freekick which was hit by Jim Björkkvist. After having played for 93 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LIVERPOOL FC.
