In the 5th minute, Mihály Szikora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leeds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute Mihály Szikora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Leeds got a freekick which was hit by Krisztián Buday. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihály Szikora's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Imre Selymes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihály Szikora in the 32nd minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Leeds booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leeds's Márton Petres got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee showed Zsolt Simon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Máté Szekeres's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Máté Szekeres helped the player get up and apologised. 68 minutes into the match, Leeds's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Leguizamo came free, but Pál Benkó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Benkó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pál Benkó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 74th minute of the match. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Márton Petres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Márton Petres sent off a good shot on target. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Dudics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
