Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Leeds's Pál Benkó got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Márton Salgó hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pál Benkó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihály Szikora in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Márton Petres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 34th minute. Márton Petres took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihály Szikora in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. When Leeds's Mihály Szikora in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal.

Zsolt Simon made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. After 56 minutes, Tibor Dudics mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Leeds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Dudics to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Leeds's Ricardo Zorita threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tibor Dudics, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marco Tamayo's late challenge caught a Leeds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Tamayo helped the player get up and apologised. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Leeds's Pál Benkó. Pál Benkó was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Dudics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leeds's Márton Petres got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mateo Leguizamo fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Mateo Leguizamo a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Leguizamo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihály Szikora got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Fernandino to maneuver through the defense. Tibor Dudics fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gábor Kádár. After 94 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. Leeds's Mihály Szikora got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
