An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Vennersten in the 12th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ragnar Vennersten in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ragnar Vennersten sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. If Claes Wall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo Hake struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Östersunds FK. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Rigoberto Mina put in a rough tackle. In the 24th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. The excitement rose when Östersunds FK's Greger Collin after 26 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Venezuela's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-3. After 28 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. Claes Wall kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Östersunds FK's Ivar Ivarsson got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Vennersten in the 39th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ragnar Vennersten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ragnar Vennersten was the one to do the kick off. Bo Hake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ivar Ivarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Bo Hake got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leif Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Ragnar Vennersten came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 67 minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Joshua Secada got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Ragnar Vennersten tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 82 in the game by Ragnar Vennersten from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The supporters of Östersunds FK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivar Ivarsson, made in the 86th minute of the game. A collision led to Östersunds FK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ivar Ivarsson hit a great ball. Claes Wall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
