Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Bjurström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Westra Aros SK's Ivan Västlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Don Nickler made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Don Nickler came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Uno Bjurström fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westra Aros SK's protests and gave Uno Bjurström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th play minute Bror Beck came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 2-0. Ivan Västlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Bror Beck sent off a good shot on target. After 33 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Håkan Söderberg who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Håkan Söderberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 35 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Uno Bjurström. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Västlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andreas Bollström hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ivan Västlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 39th minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. When Bror Beck fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivan Västlund was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 92 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. A collision led to Westra Aros SK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Andreas Bollström hit a great ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Västlund. Ivan Västlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
