With a little luck, Los Del Kllejon FC's Venancio Geleberto got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 minutes Los Del Kllejon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Venancio Geleberto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Geleberto having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algot Sundin in the 38th minute of the match. Los Del Kllejon FC's Venancio Geleberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Los Del Kllejon FC from getting a goal against them. Hilario Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Venancio Geleberto made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Venancio Geleberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Los Del Kllejon FC's Valentin Isaio was substituted for Samuel Toli. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. The supporters of Los Del Kllejon FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Siegfried Knubel. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Venancio Geleberto saved Los Del Kllejon FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Geleberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute Romeo Eleder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algot Sundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Los Del Kllejon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Celio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venancio Geleberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of play forced Los Del Kllejon FC's goalkeeper Venancio Geleberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Venancio Geleberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ismael Gumaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ismael Gumaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Los Del Kllejon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Venancio Geleberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Eleder struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Del Kllejon FC. 96 minutes into the match, Los Del Kllejon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Venancio Geleberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
