Lima Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Lima Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. 24 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Lima Team's Francisco Infante. Francisco Infante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Domingos in the 27th minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lima Team's goalkeeper Francisco Infante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacob Barroso. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
