Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mózes Bartha in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Mózes Bartha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the match, Szombathelyi Haladás's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Andor Mester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gusztáv Détári hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play forced Szombathelyi Haladás's goalkeeper Andor Mester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mózes Bartha in the 25th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nándor Jászberényi. Andor Mester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match, Nándor Jászberényi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Szombathelyi Haladás were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mózes Bartha took the corner. Szombathelyi Haladás's Mózes Bartha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Nándor Jászberényi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Szombathelyi Haladás's Andor Mester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mózes Bartha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Tomas Illescas sped through Szombathelyi Haladás's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andor Mester. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute of play forced Szombathelyi Haladás's goalkeeper Andor Mester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Szombathelyi Haladás's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Salvador Gisbert managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. With splendid footwork Tomas Illescas arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 72nd minute. After 75 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andor Mester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mózes Bartha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Mózes Bartha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
