Fernan Garoa struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garrapatita Futbol. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 21st minute, but Lautaro Navarro got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Honduras hanging dry this time. 23 minutes into the match, Baltasar Millano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltasar Millano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Turin in the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Alan Turin made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 36th minute, Garrapatita Futbol's Astor Corderun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Albano Lorenz made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 41st minute of play forced Garrapatita Futbol's goalkeeper Hermengildo Jaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Garrapatita Futbol made a substitution. Alfredo Gorri replaced Alan Turin. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ignacio Cresenciano in the 88 minute of the game. Astor Corderun's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Corderun helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Honduras booed when Garrapatita Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garrapatita Futbol's Fernan Garoa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Christian Sancho, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
