Alejandro Villa charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Villa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Uria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Rubite FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Fernandino came free, but Peru Aranzubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eufrasio Patiño's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The shot was stopped by Camilo Freixa but with some difficulty. Peru Aranzubia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Fontirroig in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Fernandino made a kick off.
