After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ilídio Monsanto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceuta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilídio Monsanto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Freixa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ceuta FC's zone, Mario Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Belém came out of the goal and Mario Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Mario Fernandino. The supporters of Ceuta FC booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Ferrant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mateus Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Caneira charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Caneira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Ceuta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Caneira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mario Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camilo Freixa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gervásio Malafaia was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wilson Cardoso notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bolivia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
