The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Strugure didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Luca Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gheorghe Baldovin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Ştefan Trif got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Luca Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball.
