Ivan Popete didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ivan Popete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of the match. Ivan Popete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced PamantDeFlori's goalkeeper Ivan Popete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when PamantDeFlori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick McDrain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in PamantDeFlori's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Popete came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Popete. Ivan Popete dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marin Covrig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st play minute Cristian Sancho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ivan Popete. 0-6. 57 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Ivan Popete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Popete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Umanzor hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when PamantDeFlori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Popete came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 64th minute. 江远益's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 江远益 helped the player get up and apologised. Ivan Popete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes PamantDeFlori's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Luis Andino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PamantDeFlori's Ivan Popete did a great save. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivan Popete quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ivan Popete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Sebastián Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-9. Ivan Popete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Popete. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10. A collision led to PamantDeFlori getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Emiliano Umanzor hit a great ball. Ivan Popete made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 95th minute.
