Planet Caravan's Romeu Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Planet Caravan from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Planet Caravan's Romeu Marques managed to reach the ball for a save. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Marques having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Romeu Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Planet Caravan's Romeu Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Planet Caravan from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Planet Caravan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Romeu Marques despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anísio Saraiva during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Planet Caravan's Anísio Saraiva got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Dedê Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Romeu Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Queirós in the 58th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Mendonça came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Romeu Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes, Valdomiro Macedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Planet Caravan and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Planet Caravan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Quirino to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson dos Santos in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Marques. Planet Caravan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Marques. Romeu Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Romeu Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto Queirós in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Hudson dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
