Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Aztore in the 13th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Lapurdi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niceto Virila. Niceto Virila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Lapurdi in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Nuevo Horizonte's Niceto Virila. Niceto Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. When Lautaro Puig was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. In the 80th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Axel Tasis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niceto Virila. That made the score 4-4 in the 82 minute of play. Feliberto Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Nuevo Horizonte's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Virila came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Niceto Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Baldomero Lapurdi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nuevo Horizonte fully deserved thier win.
