A sloppy throw-in by Felipe Dimas in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonso Berganza in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Villalcazar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 20th minute. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Batuhin in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulgencio Villalcazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulgencio Villalcazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Julian Murillo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fulgencio Villalcazar. Felipe Dimas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Batuhin was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin. But to his dismay, David Batuhin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 60 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Villalcazar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Felipe Dimas in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. In the 66th minute, David Batuhin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Cuatrodeocho's Iván Villafane was substituted for Horea Băieșu. Cuatrodeocho's Marco-Antonio Landa was substituted for Javier Maroto. With a little luck, Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match, Eliseo Mina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fulgencio Villalcazar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 77 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Villalcazar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 86 minutes in the game Felipe Dimas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to José Planes. 89 minutes into the game, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
