Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Dario Benedetto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Dario Benedetto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Genaro Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 15 minutes into the match, La Cienaga's Dario Benedetto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. After 20 minutes of play, La Cienaga's Dario Benedetto made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Cienaga's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Benedetto, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Cienaga's Genaro Sindo did a great save. In the 36th minute Alonzo Botello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Benedetto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radamel-Falcao García's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Genaro Sindo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Dario Benedetto came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. When Radamel-Falcao García fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cienaga's protests and gave Radamel-Falcao García a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Benedetto was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Radamel-Falcao García managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cienaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radamel-Falcao García was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 minutes of play Venezuela's Camilo Gaos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Jacinto Mincho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Guillermo Espina kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Benedetto in the 67th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. After a rather tough play, La Cienaga's Milad Rouhi got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Botello in the 84th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Sindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 85th minute of play. Genaro Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Cienaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Benedetto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 100 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cienaga the free kick. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. La Cienaga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
