Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percival da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Percival da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 10th minute of play. In the 15th minute Régis Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percival da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 17th minute. In the 21st match minute, Urameshi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Percival da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Osvaldo Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Urameshi FC's Hortêncio Gonçalves got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Giovanni de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abraham Alguacil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Urameshi FC's Hugo Nóbrega got a free kick in the 35th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panama's Aaron Barrios suffered a sore thigh after 39 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 39 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urameshi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. Panama's Alberto Sainz was substituted for Aaron Barrios. In the 40th minute, Luís Fernando Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 43rd minute of play. When Gildo Paes fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urameshi FC's protests and gave Gildo Paes a yellow card for diving instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Percival da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percival da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Vito Pitta charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Pitta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Panama booed when Urameshi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percival da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 72nd minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Peixoto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Osvaldo Peixoto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 85 minutes into the match, Urameshi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Percival da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Peixoto came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Miralles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Percival da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Urameshi FC's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival da Cunha came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Panama players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
