Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Júnior de Moraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Seco in the 64th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior de Moraes came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Paul Şerbănoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Mastache in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Lundgren saved B-S-L from getting behind. Jaime Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Peter Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Şerbănoiu during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. B-S-L's Júnior de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, B-S-L's Peter Lundgren got control of the ball when Kevin Mastache tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Luis Cazalla got a free kick in the 96th minute. The B-S-L fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Colombia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
