Candido Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Visen Allu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Sergiu Zgrăbunţa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altermundi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Zgrăbunţa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Candido Piedra made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. Candido Piedra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 29th minute. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 30th minute. The corner ended in Joaquin Prats almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra did a great save. Candido Piedra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Candido Piedra made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Altermundi FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Candido Piedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Peru supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Altermundi FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Altermundi FC.
