Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Jorge Vicente Squella tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Vicente Squella got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Vicente Squella's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 10th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Tucknott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Vicente Squella came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Clemente Tuñon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. Urtsín Aceiton got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Clemente Tuñon. After 33 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anselmo Johans who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Anselmo Johans got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jorge Vicente Squella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. General Velásquez's Clemente Tuñon got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Vicente Squella struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for General Velásquez. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jorge Vicente Squella made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jorge Vicente Squella kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Patricio Costa took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Henry Tucknott to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th minute Jorge Vicente Squella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Tuñon in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute General Velásquez were awarded a corner. Anselmo Johans went to the cornerflag to take it. When Urtsín Aceiton fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored General Velásquez's protests and gave Urtsín Aceiton a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when General Velásquez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtsín Aceiton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urtsín Aceiton made in the 69th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Clemente Tuñon immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Goycolea in the 82nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of General Velásquez booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Tuñon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, General Velásquez's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th minute, Martin Švácha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Urtsín Aceiton made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Clemente Tuñon.
