In the 11th match minute, Telge77 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svante Skager to maneuver through the defense. Telge77's Olle Söderkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 23rd minute of play. Jan-Erik Kvist lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Telge77:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Telge77's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Söderkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olle Söderkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Telge77's goalkeeper Olle Söderkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olle Söderkvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 52nd minute. After 59 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Joshua Secada took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olle Söderkvist. Telge77's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Olle Söderkvist to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Georg Viklund in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After some careless play in the Telge77 defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olle Söderkvist. The Telge77 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olle Söderkvist should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Filiph Salkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olle Söderkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Olle Söderkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olle Söderkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Söderkvist having to interfere. Olle Söderkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 90th minute of the match. Per Hellkvist made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sven-Olof Blomqvist immediately put the ball in play. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
