Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 15th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Indiano. Ted Almstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Ted Almstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nils-Erik Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Runa United's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ted Almstedt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28th minute Runa United were awarded a corner. Bo Eriksson went to the cornerflag to take it. Nils-Erik Åhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Carballar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Ted Almstedt came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Manzanares could save by the left post. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 38th minute of play. Joshua Garrido hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ted Almstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Garrido. Ted Almstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Ted Almstedt made the kick off in the second half. Nils-Erik Åhlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 53rd minute. Joel Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Harry Boumans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Nils-Erik Åhlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Mastache in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Boumans in the 79th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Tafalla during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Bo Eriksson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
