In the 31st minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andoni Zubizarreta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. M-WKP Kombornia's Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 65th match minute, M-WKP Kombornia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Golden to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Eugeniusz Bakes managed to get in a good position for a shot. M-WKP Kombornia's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugeniusz Bakes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andoni Zubizarreta could save by the left post. M-WKP Kombornia's Andoni Zubizarreta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save M-WKP Kombornia from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Andoni Zubizarreta in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than M-WKP Kombornia.
