Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Biagio Chioda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Biagio Chioda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Armin Mazzetti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Chioda in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Melfi in the 20th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rombiolo BR's Concetto Dominici quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Efrain Moruga, made in the 29th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Saturno in the 30th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rombiolo BR's Concetto Dominici. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Francesco Melfi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Aaron Alcocer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Grassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Padula in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmine Saturno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Rombiolo BR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. Francesco Melfi's shot from long distance in the 52nd minute was not bad at all, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 54th match minute, Rombiolo BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Azzolina to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Biagio Chioda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Biagio Chioda made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Padula, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Melfi in the 66th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes Rombiolo BR got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Dominici. Rombiolo BR made a substitution. Fulvio Piccone replaced Aldo Padula. In the 72nd minute of the match Axel Tasis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Grassi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Biagio Chioda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmine Saturno in the 83rd minute. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Emilio Grassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Rivera got free with Benito Sanz in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmine Saturno. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Biagio Chioda took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. In the 95th minute, Rombiolo BR's Fulvio Piccone dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Rombiolo BR played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
