Abraham Alguacil, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Vrieling in the 11th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Mart Mans. Mosk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mart Mans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mosk's Marcel Vrieling got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Decheiver in the 28th minute of the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Decheiver in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mosk's Gijsbert Zethof slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the match, Mosk's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Mart Mans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Huib Thole ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 40th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Bob Decheiver from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Marcos Cotilla's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mart Mans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert Zethof in the 48th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Wesley Boon kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mart Mans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Gijsbert Zethof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mart Mans was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert Zethof in the 64th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mart Mans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Abraham Alguacil came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mart Mans could save by the left post. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mart Mans saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mart Mans having to interfere. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mart Mans came out and tried to block the shot, but Abraham Alguacil slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 86th minute. Mosk's Sipke Hardering was substituted for Marcel Vrieling. Mart Mans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 91st minute of play. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
