Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nikolas Kafkalas made the kick off which started today's match. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Daniel Zorita sped through FC GURZUN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sérgio Vargas. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nae Hurmuzache in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Sérgio Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Nikolas Kafkalas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Vargas having to make a save. Sérgio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sérgio Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC GURZUN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The FC GURZUN players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. FC GURZUN's Aristide Arsene was substituted for Fabian Oravițan. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, FC GURZUN's Sérgio Vargas got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC GURZUN's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Vargas came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Vargas made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
