An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Darroja in the 7th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Misael Darroja notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apolo Rius didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Darroja in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Rouco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Apolo Rius quite easily take care of the ball. Apolo Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Soprano came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes in the game Leonardo Leoz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lautaro Mancebo. In the 34th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes Latocayteva F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Apolo Rius quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Apolo Rius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Apolo Rius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Misael Darroja got free with Dante Lacasa in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Misael Darroja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute Misael Darroja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Latocayteva F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Apolo Rius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Apolo Rius. That made the score 1-3 after 66 minutes of play. The supporters of Latocayteva F.C. booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 minutes, Facundo Cadaval mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the Latocayteva F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Misael Darroja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Misael Darroja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Latocayteva F.C.'s Apolo Rius got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Federico Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Rius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Apolo Rius was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Latocayteva F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Latocayteva F.C.'s Apolo Rius did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves Facundo Cadaval could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Apolo Rius however easily saved by the left post. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
