Saturnino Domingues had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Saturnino Domingues made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saturnino Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zula Dytrych came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Saturnino Domingues in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walery Brak in the 71st minute of play. With his leg Saturnino Domingues managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 2-1 became the score in the 91st minute when Aleksander Liberko elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 96th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Liberko in the 99th minute of the match. The Buldogi support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
