Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Misael Darroja started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Latocayteva F.C. were awarded a corner. Federico Reyes went to the cornerflag to take it. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Apolo Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Rius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Latocayteva F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Apolo Rius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Rius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. Ezequiel Garay kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Misael Darroja tried to sneak it across the goal line. Apolo Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Latocayteva F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luca Zorita advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Misael Darroja came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Latocayteva F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

In the 56th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Facundo Cadaval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Misael Darroja struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latocayteva F.C.. Saul Villanueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Apolo Rius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Darroja in the 81st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Apolo Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Apolo Rius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a defensive mix-up in Latocayteva F.C.'s zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Rius came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Latocayteva F.C. throughout the match.
