SE Palestra Itália were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adalberto Custódio took the corner. In the 16th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Clayton Sergi in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Lacasa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 19 minutes into the match, SE Palestra Itália's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Tony Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Campon struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palestra Itália. Betão Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Tony Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Custódio couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Adalberto Custódio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. In the 71st minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Chaves came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Joel Gaona fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. SE Palestra Itália's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
