Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Edward Mcdonald reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erwin Huygens. The goal made the score 1-0. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 14th minute. The corner led to USA's Jacob May getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Montrell to maneuver through the defense. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Erwin Huygens made a huge save. Sun Zhi Zhen hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Filomeno Montrell. Erwin Huygens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when USA's Cassius Byrne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcos Pacifico's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Pacifico helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Marcos Pacifico hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Cassius Byrne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Cassius Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin Huygens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erwin Huygens was left in no man's land by his defense there! USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Raphael Moore made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jacob May immediately put the ball in play. Erwin Huygens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khalid Parry went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Campbell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Huygens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. USA fully deserved thier win.
