Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Blasi in the 5th minute of the match. Yannick Turpault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Belisca Xana Sport Club ®'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yannick Turpault quite easily take care of the ball. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Celsinho Esteves's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celsinho Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Belisca Xana Sport Club ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Esteves to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Yannick Turpault to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Mexico booed when Belisca Xana Sport Club ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
