Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Magno das Neves could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelinho do Valle got free with Dante Lacasa in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernardo de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Bem Bolado's José Maria Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bem Bolado's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. José Maria Branco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Luca Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maria Branco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Donatello in the 29th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Magno das Neves in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 87th minute of play forced Bem Bolado's goalkeeper José Maria Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
