After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Serafin Ugaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Generoso Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Serafin Ugaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Constantino Henrico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Henrico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Serafin Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafin Ugaitz came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Ugaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes Cacomixtles de Queretaro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Henrico in the 32nd minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Roland Nieruchliwy sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paddy Attenborough. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Serafin Ugaitz quite easily take care of the ball. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 46th minute. Constantino Henrico's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
Cacomixtles de Queretaro made a substitution. Gustav Sefastsson replaced Constantino Henrico. 52 minutes into the match, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalkeeper Serafin Ugaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. In the 53rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz did a great save. In the 55th minute, Luis Andino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Serafin Ugaitz. The goal made the score 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cacomixtles de Queretaro's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Ugaitz came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cacomixtles de Queretaro made a substitution. Severino Che replaced Hüsnü Hürsel. After 62 played minutes Cacomixtles de Queretaro got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Viviano. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Sefastsson in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalkeeper Serafin Ugaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Ugaitz having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafin Ugaitz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Nieruchliwy in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Paddy Attenborough struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacomixtles de Queretaro. Serafin Ugaitz made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cacomixtles de Queretaro throughout the match.
