In the 14th minute, İldeniz Turatekin made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced 11 Aѕℓαη ƒC™'s goalkeeper Hipólito Taveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, İldeniz Turatekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and İldeniz Turatekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pat Lloret hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İldeniz Turatekin's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, 11 Aѕℓαη ƒC™'s İldeniz Turatekin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was a well-played corner which Lv Jian managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. İldeniz Turatekin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 41 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute İldeniz Turatekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Emanuel Mateescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Emanuel Mateescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Gisbert made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. İldeniz Turatekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İldeniz Turatekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The audience was convinced that İldeniz Turatekin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 11 Aѕℓαη ƒC™'s İldeniz Turatekin got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 Aѕℓαη ƒC™ made a substitution. Emanuel Mateescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Nelson de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Emanuel Mateescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Mateescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
