If Teofilo Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Colombia booed when C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Winter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Petras Anusauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Axel Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Petras Anusauskas to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Nuñez in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 64th minute of play forced C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's goalkeeper Petras Anusauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petras Anusauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Joshua Garrido hit a great ball. When Jorge Rodriguez came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Rodriguez couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petras Anusauskas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ignacio Mastache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Petras Anusauskas made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Kevin Mastache got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petras Anusauskas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
