Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The throw-in from Ian Cerezo in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. 6 minutes into the game, Ian Cerezo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SE Palmeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. After 6 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Ian Cerezo. Dito Donatello hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Ian Cerezo. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Muralhas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Dito Donatello got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Will Muralhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Muralhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros. But to his dismay, Abelardo Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Medeiros in the 35th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Will Muralhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Natanael Paraense threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 39th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Muralhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play. Christiano Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christiano Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Oswaldo Godoi got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Natanael Paraense in the 57 minute of the game. With a little luck, SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas got control of the ball when Sebastian Villa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's João Vítor de Almeida got a free kick in the 67th minute. Will Muralhas was a little too slow when Edmundo Espiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-1. Will Muralhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Ian Cerezo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 87th minute of play. With a little luck, SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Donatello to maneuver through the defense. Will Muralhas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edmundo Espiga. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Honduras players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
