Ernesto Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Mariano Lacasa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lα Sυв 21's Guido Bartolome was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Lα Sυв 21's Ernesto Merexildo got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Cirilo Fe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Guido Bartolome ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Ernesto Merexildo made a huge save. Ernesto Merexildo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orlando Casaus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 41 minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Merexildo having to make a save. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Severiano Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Lα Sυв 21 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Indiano during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Indiano. When Severiano Enekoitz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Lα Sυв 21 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Enekoitz couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Lα Sυв 21's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Ernesto Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xiao Xiao the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lα Sυв 21 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xiao Xiao had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 80th match minute, Lα Sυв 21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xiao Xiao to maneuver through the defense. Lα Sυв 21's Ernesto Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Indiano in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 84th minute of play forced Lα Sυв 21's goalkeeper Ernesto Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Fulgencio Bidari tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. Lα Sυв 21 were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fulgencio Bidari took the corner. The corner ended in Fulgencio Bidari almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. The Chile manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lα Sυв 21 to win.
