Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Morro Grande E.C's Ronaldinho Meira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 6th minute. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Jorge Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Meira in the 14th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Abraão having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Morro Grande E.C's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Abraão came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper José Pedro Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Elói Penha hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 39th minute. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Ronaldinho Meira made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Pedro Paulo Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Jorge Sá in the 68th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Benito Sanz's left hand side. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Jorginho Mazza sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Meira in the 71st minute of the match. José Pedro Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 76th minute of play. Wilian de Almeida's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilian de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79thth minute of the game Ronaldinho Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorginho Mazza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Lima in the 88th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. José Pedro Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 95th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Lima in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Morro Grande E.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
