In the 17th minute Frank Di Sante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes in the game Christian Sangermano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alvise Bernardini. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play forced Lupacchiotti FC's goalkeeper 董诚潮 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Lupacchiotti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but 董诚潮 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gaos made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A wasted opportunity for Lupacchiotti FC. 董诚潮 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Di Sante in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Di Sante's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lupacchiotti FC's goalkeeper 董诚潮, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Lupacchiotti FC's Frank Di Sante. But to his dismay, Frank Di Sante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 92 minutes into the game, Alberto Torelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupacchiotti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Lupacchiotti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Torelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 董诚潮 having to interfere.
