Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Ourente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gerardo Bedoya, made in the 15th minute of the game. Samuel Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Edelmiro Osmundo took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Efrain Guillem came out and tried to block the shot, but Axel Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 20th minute. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Efrain Guillem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 31st minute of play. Marcial Ourente struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flores Arlt. Flores Arlt's Gerardo Bedoya managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kevin Mastache in the 39 minute of the game. Antonio Indiano made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Kevin Mastache however managed to control. In the 47th minute Marcial Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcial Ourente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Edelmiro Osmundo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Efrain Guillem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When Marcial Ourente came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Flores Arlt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Ourente couldn't finish the play. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Flores Arlt made a substitution. Sabin Răchită replaced Marcial Ourente. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gerardo Giro sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute, Colombia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Artemio Cheche fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 77th minute, Sabin Răchită made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Henry in the 79th minute of the match. Abram Secada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabin Răchită in the 92nd minute. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Sabin Răchită sent off a good shot on target. The Flores Arlt players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
