Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Mazuste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 played minutes Tigres Ñacuñán FC got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Llorian. Eloy Mazuste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 16 played minutes Tigres Ñacuñán FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Bergqvist. Eloy Mazuste came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Sinan Okergun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 34th minute, Alfonso Pere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eloy Mazuste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Bergqvist came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Bergqvist to make the kick off. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Ecuador's Luis Andino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Eloy Mazuste made a huge save. Eloy Mazuste made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sinan Okergun in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Andres Pitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Tigres Ñacuñán FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tigres Ñacuñán FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
