In the 30th minute, Xove Castrejana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Jeremias Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arquímedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Cordario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeremias Cordario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 36 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Librado in the 43rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. Victorino Bonadona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Cordario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. In the 60th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Abila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Jeremias Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chile players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arquímedes.
