Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 11th minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Prospero Perico tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Lobos de Carelia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Cortez should have stopped the shot. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Lobos de Carelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavao Zadro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Laurendi hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nestor Cortez quite easily take care of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Perico was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 56th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Nestor Cortez made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Nestor Cortez however easily saved by the left post. Nestor Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lobos de Carelia made a substitution. Cristobal Lia replaced Pavao Zadro. Lobos de Carelia's Cristobal Lia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Macos Graciani, made in the 76th minute of the game. A throw-in in the 78th minute of the game was made by Macos Graciani with Joel Gaona as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Lobos de Carelia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vecdi Tamkut hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nestor Cortez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Lia in the 83rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Nestor Cortez made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Serafino Venerando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
