Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fabien Cantin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabien Cantin, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. A collision led to Elegance Dijon getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Thierry Agnel hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dave Rinaldi. Dave Rinaldi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 11 minutes, Fabien Cantin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elegance Dijon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabien Cantin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dave Rinaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thierry Agnel hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Fabien Cantin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Fabien Cantin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Fabien Cantin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Dave Rinaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Minaud who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Rinaldi having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Stéphane Gaudy came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Fabien Cantin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dave Rinaldi having to make a save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabien Cantin's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's Thierry Agnel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Fabien Cantin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Agustín Saelices charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustín Saelices the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Fabien Cantin put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. After 86 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilles Baur, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Minaud in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Elegance Dijon were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
